For most Chinese students, they spend 12 years to study but only take a few days to choose what life they want! The lack of scientific career guidance has been very common among most Chinese students. Luckily, the International Department has attached great importance to students’ career guidance. From this semester, our students will have access to tailor-made career advising programs from the GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator), which has been the first of its kind in Greater China areas. This program will supplement the current university guidance course, and career guidance advisers cooperate with university guidance teachers to help students to explore their interests and plan for their future career!

Career guidance is a dynamic and continued process, in which every student should vary self-planning in accordance to the changes in the external environment. The career guidance for high school does not require students to make any specific career direction instantly. Instead, it aims to let students know where their interests and abilities lie during the process of knowing themselves and the society. So they can gradually transform their interests into advantages in learning a specific discipline, developing occupational interest and career aspiration. As a result, they will be more goal-oriented in choosing future courses and majors.
