In the High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM) held in November 2018, three teams from the International Department of Chengdu Chengdu Shude High School all won the prizes successfully!
They won the Award Nomination of Grand Prize, the First Prize and the Second Prize respectively! Our school is the only school in Southwest China that has won the Award Nomination of Grand Prize, which is just behind two Global Grand Prizes, equivalent to the top three in the world! Introduction to HiMCM
The High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling (HiMCM) is an international mathematical competition sponsored by the Consortium for Mathematics and its Application (COMAP), with extensive international influence in the world. It is the 21st time to hold the HiMCM this year. Compared with other international and domestic mathematical contest in modeling, HiMCM has higher recognition and more intense competition.
In the contest, the participating teams (limited to 4 students) are required to use mathematical modeling, programming and other methods to establish a mathematical model to solve practical problems, and finally complete a nearly 30-page paper in English. All must be completed within 36 hours.
